Most valued Manchester City superstar to sign a contract extension.

Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne has been at the Etihad Stadium for 5 years now. He joined the club under Manuel Pellegrini in the 2015/16 season from Wolfsburg right after he had won the Bundesliga player of the season. The midfielder is reportedly open to discussions about extending his stay at Manchester City.

De Bruyne has been Premier League’s best midfielder since he has arrived in England. Out of his five seasons, the 29-year-old has registered the highest number of assists in three seasons despite spending most of 2018/19 out with an injury. The Belgian has stated multiple times that he is happy at Manchester City and that he feels comfortable there. He has also stated that his wife and kids are extremely happy in Manchester, thus hinting that a move away would be ill-advised.

The staff at City will be looking to pin the midfielder down for another heavy five-year contract. There was also a lot of rumors about an eight-year mega-contract for Kevin which would see the Belgian retire at the City of Manchester Stadium.

Arguably City’s best footballer currently, the midfielder has played with all the legends at City and could potentially be hailed as a club legend himself. He linked up extremely well with David Silva, Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure, and Fernandinho over the years and was also brought in by the persuasion of former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany. The midfielder has created the most amount of chances, higher than any other midfielder in Europe.

The PFA Player of the Year is already considered by many as a legend in Manchester, as he has put up some outstanding displays over the years. The midfield maestro is even considered one of the Premier League greats after producing some fantastic numbers over the years in England. A contract is definitely on the way for the Belgian superstar and it might just be the beginning of another legacy.
