Ole Gunnar Solskjaer suffers criticism for massive Manchester United loss.
Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has stated that the whole squad and staff still back Ole Gunnar Solksjaer even after such a horrible start to the season. They lost to Crystal Palace 3-1 in their first game. They somehow beat Brighton and Hove Albion in a scrappy and controversial victory while their last game was against their former boss’ Tottenham Hotspur, where they lost 6-1 at home. Both the Manchester sides, United and City, have played one less game than the other Premier League giants but registering two losses at the beginning of the season is not the ideal start.
While United have tremendous potential on paper, Ole seems clueless as to how the club is going to move forward but according to Goal, he has the trust of his players. 22-year-old defensive midfielder Scott McTominay has stated that the Norwegian has the confidence of all the players and staff. There seems to be no problem in the Manchester United dressing room, which will help the historic club to regain their footing in the tough English league.
Reports have also surfaced stating that the Portuguese superstar Bruno Fernandes is apparently unhappy with Ole’s tactics. The Portuguese has turned out to be a great signing for United as he has turned out to be a leader on and off the pitch. Hence, the midfielder being unhappy are worrying signs for Solskjaer, especially if the problem is the uncomfortable tactics that the manager has provided so far.
But according to McTominay, all is good in the United dressing room as the Scottish midfielder has assured that none of the United players have a problem with the gaffers’ tactics. This looks like a long and uncomfortable season for Manchester United as their start has not exactly been solid but the players all seem united and ready to head out for this roller-coaster season. United strengthened their squad by signing Edinson Cavani on a free transfer and they also signed left-back Alex Telles from Porto. The Red Devils also landed Amad Traore from Atalanta.
