Barcelona ready to outdo rivals Real Madrid for the talented forward, Kylian Mbappe.

Kylian Mbappe has always shown a strong kinship to Real Madrid, but the Catalans are looking to sway him towards them. The current Paris Saint-Germain superstar is in negotiations with both his French side and Madrid, and it seems that the Parisiens’ offer of 150 million euros for 5 seasons isn’t enough for the Frenchman.

The 21-year-old has an unabashed admiration for Zinedine Zidane, who he considers to be an inspiration and a mentor. In a shocking move, a potential candidate for Barca’s presidency, Victor Font, has entered the race to secure the youngster.

Reportedly, Font has contacted the French side for the player’s desire. However, not unsurprisingly, he has an uphill battle with Mbappe’s clear intentions to play for the Los Blancos. In a very candid letter for the Tribune, the Frenchman opens up about his experience as a 14-year-old kid meeting the football legend “Zizou”.

“He drove me to the training pitch, and I was just thinking to myself, I am in Zizou’s car. I am Kylian from Bondy. This is not real. I must still be sleeping on the airplane.”

Victor Font may be confident in his abilities but to sway a player from his mentor’s team will need nothing short of a miracle. But, with the clubs still in the negotiating phases, anything is possible.

With a talented player Mbappe, there is never a lack of offers and Jurgen Klopp has also desired for the winger to make a move to Liverpool. While the race to acquire the French superstar continues, the results are definitely swayed towards the white legends.

With his contract expiring in 2022, and the Parisiens proving to be difficult to negotiate with, to fulfill his desire for a movie, Mbappe has also apparently hired a Sports law Specialist, Delphine Verheyden, to aid his cause in 2021.
