Manchester City striker’s latest injury could sideline him for a month.
Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero had just returned from a long time out with an injury, but within a few weeks of his return, the center-forward was again found injured at City’s away game against West Ham United at the London Stadium.
The Argentine is now set to miss City’s big game against champions Liverpool in a month’s time. He had just returned from a massive layback where the player was out for almost 4 months and upon his return, bad luck seems to strike the Manchester hero again.
Josep Pep Guardiola has recently stated that the Argentine will be possibly out for another month or so, maybe more. The Premier League giants have only collected 8 points from the first five games. Although both the Manchester teams have a game in hand they are looking extremely uncomfortable. The Citizens are now without two forwards as both Sergio Aguero and young Gabriel Jesus are both out with injuries.
Gabriel Jesus had a promising start to the season but again, City have been really unlucky with injuries this season just like the previous one. However, Aymeric Laporte, Kevin De Bruyne, and Jesus are all close to being fully fit and young Liam Delap might have the opportunity to make a statement given so many injury problems.
If Guardiola and his men want to make a statement and win the title again, they need to start winning continuously as the league leaders and Liverpool have not run away just yet. It could go two ways from here for the Catalan manager, he could either win it all or he could end up having a terrible season. However, the group of players at Manchester City are refined champions, we can expect another top season. This may be just a dip in the form given the packed schedule and no pre-season for the Citizens.
