Kroos desires to retire at Real Madrid despite receiving transfer offers.

Toni Kroos is hailed to be one of the best midfielders of his generation and has obviously been coveted by many clubs. He recently stated that he has no intention of leaving Real Madrid, and hasn’t accepted any offers as he wants to hang his boots at the Santiago Bernabeu.

I have had offers, but I never spoke with other clubs because my idea is to finish my career at Real Madrid.”

The German has been with Los Balcos for 7 seasons and 283 games now, and has won three Champions League titles with them. At 30 years of age, he was dubbed to move back to Germany to play out his last few years but he intends to remain in Madrid.

The former Bayern Munich player also expressed his loyalty to the Coach, Zinedine Zidane, who was under inquiry after a few losses.

For our part, there have never been doubts with Zidane. We lose and win together. The important thing is how you react and we did very well, but it is only one victory and you have to continue like this.”

While the 3-1 win against rivals, Barcelona, has alleviated some of the pressure, the team still has a long way to go. The 30-year-old has a contract running up to 2023 when he could retire with his peak performance days behind him.

My contract duration was chosen consciously. At 33, that would be a good age to hang up the boots. I will have the opportunity at that moment to choose if I want to do something after that.”

Currently valued at 50 million euros, the German player could have offers from multiple clubs but with his desire to remain with Real Madrid, an exit seems highly unlikely.
