Juventus are looking to make a swap deal for another talented Barcelona youngster
Barcelona and Juventus made a surprising swap deal last season. The Catalans let go of young Arthur Melo and brought in Miralem Pjanic, who at 30 years wasn’t a good bargain. The deal was obviously made as an attempt to balance the books but was seen as a poor decision by many.
Now, reportedly, the Italian giants are looking to secure another youngster from Barcelona’s ranks. The Serie A side wants Ousmane Dembele in a deal involving Federico Bernardeschi.
Dembele has been in poor form ever since his arrival at Camp Nou, especially with multiple injuries. Thus, he was heavily linked with an exit over the summer with the Spanish Giants looking to cash in. However, he was seen back in training and now has found a place in Ronald Koeman‘s plans.
Bernardeschi, on the other hand, is currently struggling to find his footing under the new Boss, Andrea Pirlo. The Italian winger has been deployed in several positions and has an abundance of talent but has fallen short with the new coach.
Under previous boss, Maurizio Sarri, the 26-year-old had a role in the deep midfield as an offensive central mid. His accuracy at penalties in also commendable. Meanwhile, the French youngster has just found a regular spot on the team after injuries and training mishaps.
Thus, he may have a zest to prove himself and won’t be in a hurry to exit. With the 23-year-old valued at almost twice as much as Bernarderschi, Barcelona may consider a swap in an attempt to balance the books.
However, Dembele is an untapped well of talent and with the right training, he could be a great player for the Blaugranas, and they could look to keep him.
There were even some rumors of the Serie A giants targetting Barcelona’s young Ansu Fati, who has made himself a name at mere 17 years of age. Whether Barcelona will part with any of their youngsters, only time will tell.
