Italian Champions are trying to get rid of German midfielder this season.

Sami Khedira has been a part of Juventus since 2015 however, his time may be finally up. The Italian champions have decided that Khedira is surplus to the club and is no longer needed. That along with his extensive battle with injuries has decided his fate. Juventus had already sent him a letter of termination before but the player did not agree to the offer of termination. They will most likely send another offer to the midfielder and this time they will be more optimistic about his compliance.

The 33-year-old has spent 5 years in Turin but he is no longer seen as a necessary player for the team. Furthermore, new coach Andrea Pirlo does not see the player in his plans and thus Khedira is only taking up space and depleting the club’s budget. The German midfielder is also going through a rough patch of time due to his injuries which kept him away last season and the season prior to that. He only managed to make thirteen starts last season due to his muscle injury and knee surgery.

Given his age, it is not surprising that the Turin club wants to get rid of him and although several Bundesliga clubs are interested in the player Juventus wishes to offload the player immediately.

The German had some brilliant seasons and was considered one of the best central defensive midfielders during his time at Real Madrid. He has a number of trophies under his belt, acquired at both Real Madrid and Juventus. He also boasts the coveted UEFA Champions League trophy and the prestigious FIFA World Cup he won with the German national team in 2014.

Khedira has had a brilliant topsy turvy career and it seems that he has reached the end of another chapter. We will have to wait and see whether he will end up in the Bundesliga or make a big money move to Asia or the MLS.
