Real Madrid are keen on securing Dortmund superstar, Erling Haaland.

Real Madrid have been known for splashing large amounts of cash on hot market prospects very often. The new target being monitored by the Real Madrid management is the 20-year old Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland. The teen sensation has been in excellent form this season and has continued where he left it in the 19-20 season.

The in-form striker scored twice as Dortmund surged to the top of their Champions League Group F with a comfortable 3-0 victory over hosts Club Brugge on Wednesday. He has scored an astonishing 26 goals in 28 appearances for the German side.

As per reports from AS, Real Madrid have scouted him for quite some time now. The La Liga champions look to reinforce their squad with speculated arrivals of Eduardo Camavinga and Kylian Mbappe in the summer of 2021. Although the Blancos won’t have their task cut out easy, they certainly face competition from other big clubs.

Real aren’t the only side monitoring the Norwegian’s possibilities of a transfer. Haaland is being managed by powerful agent Mino Raiola who has managed to come to an agreement with Dortmund to let him leave in 2022. Los Blancos have certainly come to a conclusion that the 75 million exit clause doesn’t exist.

Things between president Florentino Perez and Raiola aren’t in the best possible but deputy of Perez, Jose Sanchez shares a great rapport with Mino and has been expected to work on this. Also home-grown talent Martin Odegaard is being expected to play a key role in persuading his Norway teammate to join him at the Bernabeu.

The relations between Borussia president Joaquim Watzke and Perez have been great with deals going either side among them. This is expected to be a factor in Haaland joining the Whites. As expected there will be a big rat-race for the wonderkid but for now Real are probably standing at the nearest possible point to landing him.
