Sergio Aguero to miss Manchester City clash against Liverpool.

Manchester City plays Liverpool in the Premier League and it will surely be a very interesting game given the current situation of the table. The Citizens are already five points behind Jurgen Klopp’s men and a win on Sunday at the City of Manchester Stadium will take them two points insight of the championship. The advantage to City in that particular hypothetical situation as they have a game in hand.

However, Pep Guardiola will be without Sergio Aguero in the clash against Liverpool. The center forward had just returned to league action in City’s 1-0 triumph against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal. However, he succumbed to injuries again returning to action.

After Sergio Aguero succumbed to a knock again, Pep Guardiola had stated that the Argentine forward will be back against Liverpool after the international break. However, that will not be the case given that he is not fully fit. He is however back in regular training and can be expected to be fully fit in a couple of weeks.

The former Atletico Madrid striker never failed to score against the Reds at the Etihad stadium, every time he played against them. The Argentine failed to continue his 7 goal streak in 7 games against the Reds in the 2019/20 season as he missed the game due to an injury. The center forward will, once again, not be able to participate in this year’s game at the City of Manchester Stadium.

Pep Guardiola’s men will not take this fixture lightly as it will give them an opportunity to beat the current champions and go closer to the top of the leaderboard. Jurgen Klopp’s men will be looking to extend their gap from City as they will be looking to cause an upset at the Etihad on Sunday. Jose Mourinho’s men currently sit at the top of the premier league as of now as Harry Kane scored another goal as the winner to hand them all three points.
