Mauricio Pochettino rejects Barcelona in hopes of Manchester United job.
As per reports from Daily Star UK, Mauricio Pochettino is believed to be the front-runner for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s job at Manchester United, and he is believed to have turned down Barcelona twice so he can take the role. The Argentine who used to be the manager of Barcelona’s city rivals Espanyol has snubbed them.
United boss Solskjaer has been under fire recently for a first home loss to Arsenal in 14 years followed by a 1-2 defeat to Istanbul Basaksehir in a Champions League group stage game. On the other hand, Pochettino has been turning down a number of jobs as he has his sight set on the Reds job.
Pochettino was responsible for leading Tottenham to the Champions League final in the 2018/19 season. But following season after a 2-7 humiliation to Bayern Munich at home, Daniel Levi had to consider the option of sacking him.
His credentials have already been proven with his stint at Spurs, where he even came close to winning the league title. Pundits have been backing him for the United job for quite some time. So much that Pochettino has issued a warning to the United management, that his services are timed and they might lose the chance to secure him if they don’t act fast.
I think you have to give Pochettino massive respect for what he did at Spurs.” said Jamie O’ Hara.

The Argentine brings more than experience to the table. With an aim of developing young talents and an exciting style of play to watch, he’s the perfect man to handle the current United squad.
“Give him Man Utd’s squad and they would go to another dimension.”
It is understood that if the Reds don’t bring in Mauricio they will push for current RB Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann who recently became the youngest manager to lead a side to Champions League semifinals.
