Manchester United have significantly reduced their asking price for midfielder Paul Pogba.
Manchester United have dropped star midfielder Paul Pogba’s asking price to as low as 60 million Euros, reports in the UK have claimed.
Pogba has had a torrid time since his return to Old Trafford from Italian giants Juventus, having struggled to hit his usually high levels and command in midfield. The Old Trafford outfit, having signed the star for a then-record transfer fee of 105 million Euros (89.3 million pounds) plus bonuses, expected much more than the 25 goals and 27 assists he’s provided in his 115 appearances for the club since coming back.
The French midfielder’s subpar performances on the pitch and him being constantly linked to the likes of Real Madrid every year off of it are a source of constant frustration for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and rumors are United may finally offload him next year even though he just signed a contract extension with the club keeping him at Old Trafford till 2022.
When asked about his persistent links to the Spanish club, the 27-year old gave very clear signs, expressing his admiration for Los Blancos and their distinguished manager Zinedine Zidane and saying it would be a “dream” to play for Real Madrid.
Zidane? Many things have been said. What can I say? All the players would love to play for Real Madrid. It would surely be a dream. It’s a dream for me and why not some day?” said the World cup winner.

Real Madrid, however, have currently ruled out the possibility of signing Pogba. Their main targets are superstar winger Kylian Mbappe and possibly Pogba’s French compatriot and Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga in 2021, along with a plan to swoop in for Erling Haaland in 2022.
But if the Man Utd star starts delivering and performs at the levels he’s expected to hit, there’s always a chance Los Blancos come for him in the transfer market next summer
