Will the youngster join the Normal One at Liverpool?
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed his desire to bring in wonderkid Rodrygo from Real Madrid to the Merseyside. In recent times the German has looked towards the Spanish capital many times for reinforcements. Although Rodrygo is a big part of Florentino Perez’s future project, it remains to be seen if Liverpool manages to convince him, however, Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane isn’t really welcoming of this idea of letting the Brazilian go.
It has been suspected that Klopp fears the departure of star winger Mohammed Salah and wants to replace him with a long-term prospect in Rodrygo. Salah is already 28 and might be looking for bigger challenges at other clubs. As per Don Balon, Klopp is in love with the youngster’s maturity in the game, technique, and potential.
At just 19 years of age, he is already competing for the starting positions for Los Merengues. With a Champions League hattrick already to his name, he has been valued at 45 million euros according to Transfermarkt.
Zidane has revealed that Rodrygo is one of the future stars of Bernabeu and is still unexplored potential. A talent that has exploded to the big scene already. The questions are on the financial commitments of the Reds should Real ask a huge sum for the youngster. Liverpool are not known to splash regular big cash for players.
The Reds management is in thoughts of departure of either of Sadio Mane or Salah. Should the incoming revenue be high enough, they will use that to bring in future prospects as per plans discussed along with Klopp.
It remains to be seen where the youngster will move to the Premier League or will he stay, but one thing is for sure that his talent has not gone unnoticed. It remains to be seen what happens at Anfield in regards to both Salah and Mane, as their departures will surely result in the Reds pushing hard for a long-term replacement.
