Manchester United star could play for Real Madrid by 2021.
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has yet again been linked to a move to Real Madrid. Pogba’s love for the Royal Whites has been no secret and he has often openly admitted Real as his dream club.
As per reports from Calciomercato, an agreement that allows him to leave for 60 million euros in 2021 has been reached. Pogba’s transfer fee has decreased due to the fact that he has just one year left in his contract. The unconvincing form of United has rather added fuel to the fire and a contract renewal doesn’t seem likely.
Real Madrid, however, have multiple options to choose from. While Pogba’s price has been on the fall, on the other hand, Eduardo Camavinga has been on the rise. He is one of the most sought-after teenagers in world football and the Madrid side seem to be the leading contenders for his signature as well.
But both these options are ends apart from one another. Pogba is an experienced polished product who has been playing first-tier football for years now. Meanwhile, Camavinga might be an exciting talent but he is only 17 years of age; and has no really notable experience at the top level.
The La Liga giants will have to consider the risks and assess the situation. Whether they will contribute more to their future project or do they need veteran stability in the squad. Madrid’s current plans look more to be the signing of young values. But even that is relative. On the other hand, there are many factors that favor Pogba which Florentino would take into account.
Pogba doesn’t just bring quality into the side but his popularity increases the incoming revenues to the next level. A very marketable figure, he’s the 44th highest-earning athlete in the world as reported by Forbes. Madrid usually have a policy of sharing half of the image rights revenues; which means essentially Pogba has to pay 50 percent of his earning.
President Perez is certainly an experienced businessman and will surely look into this when considering bringing the French international to Santiago Bernabeu.
