Juventus superstar, Paulo Dybala, has been tipped to join Real Madrid.
Former Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini says Paulo Dybala will become the next Lionel Messi if he leaves Juventus and moves to a club like Real Madrid.
The Argentina international has struggled for minutes under Andrea Pirlo this term, starting just three of Juve’s 10 games in all competitions. Dybala has been subjected to criticism this season especially following his poor performance against Lazio.
The 26-year-old has been clearly struggling to get back to his old form making just 10 appearances after coming back from a muscle injury he suffered in August.
In his defense came Maurizio Zamparini, former president of Palermo, who in 2012 brought the Argentine to Serie A.
In an interview with Tuttosport, Zamparini said:
I am still convinced that he is the new Messi. Dybala, as well as a champion, is a very good guy. And I can’t understand why many insiders tend to forget it.That Dybala is not a starter in Serie A is a blasphemy. Paulo would have I had to follow my advice three years ago, to leave Turin”.
A host of top clubs are reportedly interested in the Argentine with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain all watching with interest. All these European elites would be interested in making a move should Juventus put their star man up for sale.
Dybala has already made 164 appearances for the Bianconeri scoring 68 goals in the process following his move from Palermo in 2015, should he fail to make it into Pirlo’s plans he could well be tempted to move abroad with his contract set to expire in the summer of 2022. It remains to be seen what happens at the Italian side as they are also reportedly looking to sell Cristiano Ronaldo as they can no longer afford his wages.
