Real Madrid midfielder Isco has opened up to the idea of departing Bernabeu.
Reports from Todo Fichajes suggest that playmaker Isco Alarcon has been approached by Arsenal. The London entourage have asked Real Madrid about the Spaniard and would look to come to conclusion soon. Isco has not been in form and one would certainly expect a lot more from him considering what we have seen from a player of his caliber.
The performance of the former Malaga player has gone downhill and with a contract until 2022 everything points to a departure in January or at the latest in summer, when he will enter his last year of employment. He has been linked previously to Everton, Manchester City, and Juventus. Arsenal are the latest club to enquire about the possibility of acquiring the Spanish international.
Mikel Arteta already has Dani Ceballos in his ranks, on loan for the second year from Real Madrid, and would seek to add the other attacking midfielder to improve his current squad. To make things easier, the Gunners would offer a loan until the end of the year, and then they would want a mandatory purchase option for € 30M as per reports.
Isco has spent months weighing up the pros and cons of asking to leave. He even spoke to Zinedine Zidane about the matter and the Frenchman didn’t try to convince him to stay. All the pieces of evidence have been pointing to an exit and the rest remains to be seen as we approach the transfer window.
The 28-year old has certainly looked off-color and most importantly will be looking to come back into the Spain International team. The Madrid giants at the moment only have polls and questions through agents and emissaries from various clubs, but hopes that once December is reached, the talks will reach an official tone to finalize the departure of Isco.
