Manchester City look to double their superstar’s salary.

Manchester City are reportedly considering an increase in wages and a new bumper contract deal for their star forward Gabriel Jesus. The 25-year-old already has 2 and a half years left on his current contract but the Citizens do not want to waste any time and secure the player for a longer period of time and also for Pep Guardiola‘s new term at the club. Guardiola signed a new deal with the Manchester side which will see the Catalan be at the club for a longer period of time till the year 2023. This will be a total of 7 years which is longer than any amount of time he has spent at any other club and that involves his famous Barcelona side and his strong Bayern Munich side.

As for Jesus, the Brazilian arrived at the City of Manchester Stadium in January 2017 winter transfer window. This is his fifth season with the Citizens. The center forward has scored a total amount of 43 goals in 104 Premier League appearances and he has got over 70 goals for Manchester City in all competitions. The 23-year-old has over 100 goals and assists for the Premier League side.

Guardiola is a huge fan of the player and that is why the Calatan went after him in the winter transfer window of 2017 as City signed the Brazilian Phenomenon at a fee of 25 million pounds. Although the 23-year-old has a lot of potential he may have some finishing problems in front of goal. However, his link-up play with other players, and his space creating abilities are outstanding and he will only improve with time. The forward does have 2 and a half years left on his contract but it looks like he might receive a mega bumper deal from Manchester City which could see the young forward earning almost 150,000 pounds per week.
