Barcelona desire Chelsea’s Antonio Ruediger.

Ronald Koeman’s Barcelona have already faced a lot of problems financially and on the other hand they have faced problems through multiple injuries too. They currently have young starlet, Spanish phenomenon Ansu Fati out injured alongside club legend Gerard Pique too, on the sidelines. The Blaugranas plan to bring in center back options in January to solve their current problems at the back.

They also had Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele out with injuries at the start of the month but now they are all back in the squad. German International Ter Stegen too had been out with injuries and is now currently back in light training. He has started a few matches after his recovery as well.

With Gerard Pique being out for four months and maybe more, Barcelona need reinforcements. Due to their current financial problems, they are not exactly in the poll position to sign world-class defenders who are expensive in today’s market. One of Barca’s targets is Chelsea FC’s, Antonio Ruediger. The German International has not been a regular starter at Stamford Bridge since the arrival of Thiago Silva who has formed a solid partnership with Kurt Zouma, Reece James, and former Leicester City full-back, Ben Chilwell. However, Ruediger’s future at the London club looks bleak. The Catalans will be interested in signing him for a very low price in the winter transfer window of 2021 in January.

The winter transfer window is approaching in a month and 19-year-old Manchester City center-back, Eric Garcia, is one big target for the Catalans. The center back was taken by Manchester City at a very young age but at the core, he is a La Masia youth product. The youngster seems keen on joining the La Liga giants too as he has not signed a new deal with Pep Guardiola’s side just yet. Barcelona are favorites to land the youngster in January with a lot of speculations that are going on currently.

The youngster may also head to the Nou Camp in the summer transfer window of 2021 for free, in hopes of coming back home to Spain, as his contract with Manchester City will be over.
