The injury-depleted-Liverpool side qualified for the champions league knockout stages last night after beating Ajax 1-0. The twenty year old was once again the standout performer for the Dutch side having successfully kept Sadio Mane quiet all night.
Perr schuurs has been the standout performer for Ajax this season having played fourteen times already, speaking after the game he responded to reports linking him to Liverpool with:
Interest from Liverpool in me? I am not busy with that. I want to win trophies with Ajax first and stay here for a couple of seasons,”
Perr Schuurs who has often been likened to his countryman Mathjis De Ligt, has managed to impress Jurgen Klopp on both occasions this season and the Reds’ boss could now make a move for the defender.
Standing at 6ft 3inches tall, Schuurs has already made 28 first-team appearances for the Dutch side having stepped up under Erik ten Hag. His composure on the ball and the authority he displays on the pitch has also earned him comparisons to his national team captain Virgil Van Dijk.
Liverpool are already without the services of Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez; therefore, a center-back position is the main priority for the Premier League champions if they are to compete for any kind of silverware this season.
The Reds have been linked with a host of players but as things stand Perr Schuurs is most likely to move to Anfield.
