PSG have put their offer on the table for the 21-year-old.
The French forward has been in phenomenal form this season, finding the net 12 times and setting up a goal for his teammates 8 times, in just 12 games, and has left the whole of Europe in awe, who are very well aware of his contract complications with PSG. The two potential suitors being European giants, Liverpool and Real Madrid, PSG have a huge task on their hands to tie down the superstar for the years to come.
“We have started several negotiations for the renewals of certain players. We have to adapt to the current economic reality, but all the renewals that we think about, Di María, Neymar, Mbappé , even Bernat or Draxler, we have begun to discuss them and we are going to intensify negotiations in the coming days”, said PSG director Leonardo.
According to AS, Mbappe has already said ‘no’ to the French club regarding the contract talks, and Real Madrid are relying on it, not making much sound for their camp regarding their capture of the French World Cup winner. The defending La Liga Champions have an idea of the hefty price, 180 million euros, they would need to pay for the capture of Mbappe in the next transfer window, or they could choose to wait till Mbappe’s contract with the Parisians is over and they could capture the superstar for free; which is highly unlikely with so many others vying for the Frenchman.
The only condition seems to be the reality of the pandemic and the youngster doesn’t want to leave without any guarantees. Should he move to Spain, and face an injury, a clause that would benefit both him and PSG will have to be added according to sources.
The jury is still out on where Mbappe is headed, with Real Madrid and Liverpool silently monitoring him, but the word is out that PSG have put their offer on the table.
