Andrea Pirlo believes Manuel Locatelli is right for Juventus.
Manuel Locatelli is currently the most sought after midfielder in Serie A. The former Milan midfielder has turned around his career in a fantastic manner under Sassuolo boss, Roberto de Zerbi. A player with all the attributes in abundance, he is currently, if not the most, one of the most complete players in the league. This has surely drawn attention from other teams and Juventus have taken the initiative to sign him.
He caught the eye of Andrea Pirlo in the last transfer window and the Bianconeri had him in their plans, but they moved for Weston McKennie instead. That doesn’t mean that they have forgotten about him and as he continues to develop his game, they will surely move to sign him when they can.
Speaking about players that he looks up to, Locatelli revealed that current Juventus manager, Andrea Pirlo is an idol of his and that he has the image of the former midfielder hanging in his room.
He said in an interview,
Pirlo has always been my idol, I had his poster hanging in my room”
Tuttosport reveals that talks between Juventus and Sassuolo have gained strength as the Old Lady have taken things slowly since last summer. The report reckons that Sassuolo want €40M before they will sell him, but Juventus are looking to pay 25 million euros for his signature. The Bianconeri are also prepared to lace the deal with potential add-ons that could raise around 10 million euros extra.
