Amidst interest from Manchester United, Eriksen prefers PSG
Christian Eriksen moved to Inter Milan from Tottenham Hotspur a year ago to join Antonio Conte during his reign as a manager there. However, the Denmark international has struggled a lot at the home of the Nerazzuri. The Danish midfielder failed to have an impact in Serie A like he was predicted to do. The fans had high expectations from the former Tottenham midfielder in terms of creativity. However, the Dane even failed to make the starting line-up regularly under the Italian manager, Antonio Conte.
Reports have suggested that there is a huge interest in Eriksen by Premier League clubs. Both Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s Manchester United and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, are reportedly going to race over the signature of the former AFC Ajax midfielder. The sides are in desperate need of a creative midfielder and Christian Eriksen fits the bill perfectly, especially at Arsenal. A move to Arsenal would be comfortable for the 28-year-old as he used to live in North London previously when he played for so many years with Tottenham Hotspur.
However, multiple reports are now suggesting that Thomas Tuchel’s Paris Saint Germain are interested in the Danish midfielder and will be looking to sign the 28-year-old in the upcoming January Transfer Window of 2021 itself. The reports also suggest that Christian Eriksen himself favors a move to the Parc Des Princes over Old Trafford and the Emirates in London. He clearly sees a better opportunity to flourish at a side like Paris Saint Germain over Manchester United and Arsenal.
Only the arrival of the January transfer window in 2021 will tell the fate of the former Spurs midfielder as he looks desperate to leave. The midfielder does not even look like he is in Antonio Conte’s plans at Inter Milan. However, PSG are the favorites to land the signature of the creative Dane, they will surely face some sort of competition before they comfortably have the midfielder to themselves. Even if he has been average at Serie A, the European clubs have not forgotten the true potential of a classic midfielder like Eriksen. A move away is certainly in the cards for the 28-year-old.
