Amad Diallo receives passport green-lighting his move to England
Manchester United went to third place in the Premier League behind Liverpool and Leicester City with a thumping 6-2 win against rivals Leeds United. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s side are now five points off the top with an extra game in hand. However, the side cannot be complacent and look to find consistency in their approach if they want to lift the Premier League this season. United’s squad strength will be boosted in the upcoming transfer window with the arrival of Atalanta winger, Amad Diallo.
According to reports by Sky Sports, Diallo has received his Italian passport and is waiting for his work permit. Manchester United have completed a 40 million pounds move for the wonder kid. The Red Devils will pay 25 million pounds upfront with 15 million pounds add on. Fabrizio Romano has highly praised the young right-winger in his reports. Manchester United have finally signed a natural right-winger after many seasons. This position had been a problem for the English side in the last few seasons.
Solskjaer will have more attacking options and can try out different variations against different opponents. English forward, Mason Greenwood can finally be deployed in his natural number 9 position. The transfer of the Ivorian winger is a huge gamble for Ole. The player does not have enough experience in top-flight but he has immense potential according to the Atalanta coaches and Fabrizio Romano.
Boss Solskjaer is known to be working with young players. He was the one who developed Erling Braut Haaland during his time at Molde. At United, he developed Greenwood, turned Marcus Rashford into a serial goal scorer, and gave the first-team debut to Brandon Williams, Dean Henderson, and Ethan Laird. The Manchester United fans are eager to see their new signing and will have high expectations from the young gun.
