Arsenal manager has a last shot at saving his job after a series of disappointments

Arsenal fans were in euphoria after new manager, Mikel Arteta won them the FA Cup and Community. However the honeymoon period looks to be over for the Spaniard. The Gunners are currently 15th in the league table with just one win from their last 8 Premier League games. The Arsenal boss has started to feel the pressure and according to reports by Goal, Arsenal’s cult hero, Perry Groves claims that the boss has three games to save his job.

Arsenal face Manchester City in the league cup, Chelsea at home and Brighton away in the Premier League. The next three games will be extremely tough and tricky for the Gunners. The North London club has struggled to score goals this season. They have scored just 12 goals in 14 league games and captain Pierre Emerick Aubameyang’s bad form in front of the goal is not helping the side. The players are also failing to create chances in each game and have struggled to score from open goals this season.

Arsenal’s new man, Willian Borges is yet to score his first goal for the club, Thomas Partey is yet to adapt to the Premier League while Nicolas Pepe is still struggling in his 2nd season at the club. Boss Arteta needs to sort out his best 11 and needs to set up a proper defensive line. Arsenal have been struggling while defending set pieces and in dead ball situations and it is clear that the defensive line lacks communication and a proper structure.

The fans will be frustrated with the team’s current state and will hope for some redemption in the next three games. Arteta has defeated his former boss Pep Guardiola in last season’s FA Cup semi final and went on to win the trophy beating Frank Lampard’s Chelsea. The Spanish coach will be hoping to get the best out of the players in the next three games with his job is on the line.
