Bayern Munich CEO dismisses Kylian Mbappe talks.
Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has refused to have any chance to import star forward Kylian Mbappe. We understand from Goal that, although Bayern were considered to be one of the elite clubs that could be in pursuit of Mbappe, rumors are not to be believed.
Mbappe is only 21 but he is already the most valuable player in the world; this speaks gallons about the quality he possesses. Mbappe has an ongoing contract that runs till 2022 with Paris Saint-Germain. The Parisian outfits are pushing hard to ensure that Mbappe renews his contract elongating his stay at the club.
Currently, the clubs that have been strongly linked to the 21-year-old are Real Madrid and Liverpool. He has strongly expressed his positive desire surrounding these clubs and his eagerness to be a part of them. Real Madrid have been linked to him for quite a long time, and even a move this summer is very possible.
It is no surprise as he thinks that he needs to take a bigger step in his life and prove himself in other leagues. A realization of potential, in other words, he considers Madrid and Liverpool to be the next stepping stone in his career.
As far as Bayern are concerned in this situation, they understand that such a deal is not financially feasible and Rummenigge said to Le Figaro:
“I love Mbappe and his way of playing, but we will never be able to bring him to Bayern. Anyway, he is where he is. Nasser is a good friend of mine. I will not bother him on this subject.”
Goal also reports that Mbappe has revealed the decision to move is not his alone, he has to understand what his family is comfortable with. Mbappe has led from the front for PSG ever since his arrival and has already scored a century of goals at Paris. The situation of his strike partner, Neymar Jr., will also be helping his cause in either of the outcomes.
Although a move away from Stade Paris seems inevitable, it is yet to be known where and when.
