Sami Khedira ready to bid adieu to Juventus amid interest from PL.

Sami Khedira could be on his way to Merseyside this January after the player revealed he has been in contact with Everton boss, Carlo Ancelotti. The 33-year-old has fallen out with new Juventus manager, Andrea Pirlo who signed Weston McKennie from Schalke to fill in his place.

The World cup winner, who has more than 100 appearances for the Serie A club, is yet to start a game this season for the club and Goal reports that the talks have begun over a contract termination, which would let the five-time Italian champion leave for free.

Everton have struggled since selling Idrissa Gueye to PSG in the summer of 2019, replacing him proved to be a daunting task and Everton have found it difficult after his departure.

Ancelotti, however, did bring the likes of Allan and Doucoure this season to play his role, but with Allan picking regular knocks, Everton have still continued to struggle this season in the defensive midfield department. This has let the 61-year-old admitted he is open to a January move for the Juventus outcast.

“I have a good memory of Sami Khedira, he was with me at Real Madrid and was a fantastic professional.”

Khedira who began his professional career at Stuttgart has had an illustrious career so far winning many titles in Spain and Italy. He could very well help Everton steady the ship with his experience. The defensive midfielder could not only help tighten the defensive vulnerabilities the team has at the moment, but his influence on and off the pitch could help the youngsters step up their game.

Khedira in a recent interview with Bild said:

“I would love to work with him(Ancelotti). We spoke on the phone and wrote. You know my situation.”

Khedira is desperate to end his contract with Juventus and make a move to the Premier League, but Everton isn’t the only club interested in the veteran midfielder with many Championship clubs also interested.
