Napoli have revealed their desired amount for star Arkadiusz Milik.

Napoli are in a dilemma as they are running short on time to find suitors for Arkadiusz Milik should he leave in the upcoming transfer window. His current contract ends in the summer of 2021 and many clubs are eyeing to secure his services on a free transfer. Big competitors for his sign are reigning champions Juventus and La Liga giants Atletico Madrid among many.

As we understand from Goal.com reports, Napoli demand a fee of around 15 million euros for the Polish striker if they can agree for a deal in January. Napoli are willing to let him go for a price lower than his market value since they risk losing him for free shall things go south.

Milik arrived from Ajax in 2016 in Naples and has since become an integral part of the team. Having scored 48 goals in 122 matches for them, he has been a fan favorite and is appreciated by the Ultras of the club too. Even if the list of clubs that have made him a priority isn’t short; clubs might opt for a free transfer given the condition in this pandemic.

As we understand from Goal, Roma and Juventus were the clubs that were in pole position to secure him in the summer of 2020. The other club that really pushed for him were Mourinho led Tottenham Hotspurs. Although Spurs settled for a younger option in Carlos Vinicius, Juventus haven’t given up their pursuit yet.

Apparently, he himself has no desire to stay in Naples. In a recent interview, he was quite visibly distraught after being left out of the Europa League and Serie A squads by head coach Gennaro Gattuso. He said

I decided that I would like to try something else. I think this is the right time to try a new challenge.  There has never been hostility on my part towards Napoli. I wanted to solve everything professionally.

I expected this decision but the lack of communication from the club is not professional. I believe I haven’t been treated well.”

This meant a severe blow to any hopes of a contract extension at the Diego Maradona stadium and we will be seeing him donning new colors soon.
