FC Dallas right-back wanted at Lyon.
FC Dallas youngster, Bryan Reynolds is one of the hottest prospects in Major League Soccer right now. He is on course to become the next export from the MLS after rising stars like Gio Reyna and Alphonso Davies. Regular Champions League playing teams like Serie A champions Juventus, and Lyon are strong contenders for his signature.
As we understand from 3rd Degree, the offer submitted by Juve was around 7-8 million euros. Juventus look to sign their second United States international after signing Weston McKennie last season from Schalke. It is known that having a senior national teammate might influence his decision in joining them. The other clubs in pursuit of him are Olympique Lyonnaise, AS Roma, and Club Brugge being the notable ones.
Whichever side the youngster chooses to join, he certainly provides a long-term option at right-back, and should he fulfill his potential, he could be soon starting at some of the well-known clubs. Considering Juventus’s boss, Andrea Pirlo has certainly promoted youth and injected fresh blood into the squad; it is not a surprise that he might want to replace the aging Juan Cuadrado.
American players have been making roadway into Europe quite frequently in the recent past. Alphonso Davies is already being considered as one of the best left-backs in the world currently. Gio Reyna has been taking strides in his development cycle and has frequently featured in the Borussia Dortmund starting line-up.
It is no surprise that the 19-year-old right-back has been making headlines for the right reasons. He is incredibly fast for a player of height 6 feet 3 inches and has got a dynamic playstyle. A creative passer of the ball and with good enough dribbling, he can bombard the right flank, all the meanwhile providing defensive solidity.
All the hints point towards an exit from the MLS for him and taking the next step in his hopefully wonderful career ahead.
