Eriksen has been offered to Real Madrid and Atletico.
Danish playmaker Christian Eriksen has been having an uncertain life at Inter Milan. After being persuaded to join by Antonio Conte, he has been out of his starting team and plans for the future. One of the world’s best and most creative playmakers, he was quite something at Tottenham. Helping them reach the Champions League final, he was one of the most sought-after players in the final year of his contract. He was often linked with elite clubs like Real Madrid, Manchester United, and many more.
Inter only paid 20 million euros for his services and considering his qualities it seemed a huge bargain. But things went south, and we have not seen Eriksen at his best ever since. With the ongoing pandemic, revenues have not been up to the mark and thus Inter decided to transfer list Eriksen. Along with a host of stars like Marcelo Brozovic, Eriksen faced the ax under Conte.
As per reports from Marca, Nerazzurri management have offered Eriksen to defending champions and current leaders Real and Atletico. Although, it is not really clear as to how Eriksen would fit in a much more physical and aggressive Atletico. Real Madrid can really boost up their creative outlet and excellent supply besides seasoned players like Kroos and Modric.
Owing to his current decline in form and game time, his market value has plummeted from around 100 million euros to 35 million euros as per Transfermarkt data. Manchester United who were in hot pursuit of the Dane, might not enter the fray for his signature as they have bagged an excellent option in Bruno Fernandes, who by most standards, has been their best player last year.
As far as fans are concerned we would love to watch Eriksen create magic again, but in what colors, that is not something certain yet.
