Paul Pogba is one of Manchester United’s biggest assets but tension has been high between the player and the club for a few months and he could very well end up in another club next season. His departure will leave a hole in United’s midfield and although it will give Donny van de Beek more game time, ex Manchester United player suggests that the club should go for Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, to replace him. The English midfielder had been linked with the club before but nothing materialized out of it.  This time, however, the club could seriously go for the player especially if they sell Pogba at the end of the season.

The 25-year-old English midfielder, Grealish, has been on the radar for Manchester United since last season when he helped his team avoid relegation. He has kept up his momentum this season as well and has already scored six goals and provided 11 assists in 19 Premier League appearances. He has been monumental for the Claret and Blue’s incredible season and they do look like genuine contenders for a European spot. According to former Red Devils midfielder, Luke Chadwick, the English giants should reignite their interest in the player as he can be a world-class player if he is surrounded by talented players like Bruno Fernandes and Fred.

Grealish would be a perfect replacement for Pogba according to Luke Chadwick.

In an interview with Caught Offside(via Goal), the former midfielder said,

“For me, the one player I’d look to break the bank for is Jack Grealish, who has looked one of the best players in the Premier League for Aston Villa. If he was surrounded by the kind of calibre of player he would be at United I think he could be an absolute world-class player in a few years’ time.”

Chadwick went on to praise the player by saying that he is always looking to create chances and is never lazy on the pitch. His creativity and hard-work have been proved by his incredible amount of assists. Although he is a Villa fan and has been at the club since childhood, it would be hard to resist an offer from one of the biggest clubs in Europe. However, nothing is of certain now as the manager is more interested in bringing a winger and could try for Jadon Sancho if they sell Pogba.
