Neymar, whose contract is coming to an end in June 2022, has admitted that he would love to stay on at the club and recent reports suggest that the player and the club will soon announce a contract extension. This is great news for the fans as well as the team in general as they would have felt the loss of such an important player. His teammate, Mbappe stressed the importance of the Brazilian and proclaimed that he is very happy that Neymar has planned to stay on at the club.

Mbappe celebrates the fact that Neymar will extend his contract with PSG.

The 2018 World Cup winner has been a monumental figure at PSG but he has recently been linked away with a move to Real Madrid. Despite these rumors, he still wishes the best for the club and was very excited to know that the Neymar deal is close to completion. In an interview with Canal+(via Goal), he said,

“This is great news. everyone knows the importance of this player. I hope he will be able to write the history of this club for many years to come,”

Mbappe went on to comment about the recent match against rivals, Olympique Marseille. The Paris side won 2-0 and the French winger was on the score sheet. He also said that the club was not preoccupying themselves with the upcoming match against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League as they have other important fixtures coming up as well. He did say, however, that they would keep up the intensity so that they do not suffer a shock in the round of 16.
