Paris Saint-Germain played Caen in the round of 64 of the French Cup last night. The French giants sealed the win and their place in the next round. However, they were struck with yet another massive blow. Brazilian superstar Neymar Jr was yet again struck with another injury. The bad news for Mauricio Pochhetino is that the 29-year-old could possibly be out for the big Barcelona game. The French giants will play the Catalans in another crucial round of 16 tie in the Champions League next week. Neymar’s injury can be a big blow for PSG.

The game was going all well for Neymar until he was faced with the crunching tackle. This hard tackle came at him early on in the second half. This clash saw the winger down on the pitch in pain and agony. Immediately, the player was taken off and replaced. Multiple French journalists have stated that the 29-year-old was seen leaving the stadium immediately after he was taken off. These reports also claim that the star was seen limping on his way to immediate medical care.

While this particular piece of news is disheartening for PSG fans, Barcelona fans may feel differently. The Blaugrana are obviously not a huge fan of Neymar after he left the club in such a disrespectful way. However, they are aware of the threat he carries. This potential injury may be a huge let-off for Ronald Koeman and his men. The absence of Neymar will give Barcelona some sort of relief as everyone is aware of the threat he carries. However, the winger’s teammate Moise Kean has stated that he will be fit and back for the Barcelona tie next week. So far, there has been no official statement from the club or the player. The former Barcelona man will not be very happy if he is sidelined with another major injury again.
