Ex Juventus midfielder, Miralem Pjanic arrived at the Nou Camp with high hopes to play for Barcelona. The midfielder was supposed to be a huge impact signing after so many exits. However, that has not been the case. The 60 million midfielder was supposed to be a regular starter but ended up starting around only 5 games for the Blaugrana. The Bosnian was signed with a lot of hope when youngster Arthur Melo was sold to the Old Lady in an exchange deal for Pjanic.

One would assume that such an expensive signing would be a regular starter at such a big club. However, he was not a signing that was made under Ronald Koeman as he arrived before the manager was assigned. The former Juventus star did not seem to be in the Dutchman’s plans. Pjanic has only made 5 starts this season but it does not look like he will be making regular starts anytime soon, atleast for this season. One does wonder whether selling a talented youngster like Melo was worth it, in exchange for Pjanic who has, so far, failed to impress.

Barcelona midfielder is unhappy with the lack of involvement.

The 30-year-old central midfielder has made some comments on this matter recently. He is unhappy and dissatisfied with the current game time he has been receiving.

I don’t have the exact reasons why I’ve not had the playing time I expected.”

“I keep working and you have to respect the decisions that are taken, even if you don’t agree. I want to leave my mark at this club.”

Pjanic was a force of nature in Juventus and obviously wants to recreate some of his former glory and is understandably upset at being overlooked in favour of youngsters like Riqui Puig and Ilaix Moriba. Hopefully, Koeman has a solid plan and soon, Pjanic can score his first goal or assist of the season should the Dutchman award him more play time.
