Premier League has produced many talented players over the years and the PFA Young Player of the Year award has been won by many football greats like Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo. Here are the top five contenders for this season.

#1 Bukayo Saka – Arsenal

Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka has been a sensation this season. The 19-year-old has scored 5 goals and assisted twice in the Premier League this season. Saka has been one of the best players for the Gunners this season alongside Emile Smith Rowe. Saka is a versatile player and can play a number of positions including left midfielder and left wing-back. He scored an excellent goal against Chelsea this season and certainly has the potential to reach even better numbers next season.

 #2 Ruben Dias – Manchester City

Manchester City’s latest signing has been an instant hit this season and he is touted as a possible nominee for the PFA Player of the Year award. City has conceded the least goals and kept the most clean sheets in the league. Dias has been a sensation at the back alongside John Stones. The Portuguese national is one of the favorites to win the award.



#3 Phil Foden – Manchester City

Phil Foden is already one of the best young footballers in the world. The Manchester City midfielder has scored 6 goals and assisted 5 times in the league this season. Foden has been great for both club and country this season and the young man is touted as the next David Silva by the City fans.

#4 Pedro Neto – Wolverhampton Wanderers

The Wolves man has been a great player this season along with Daniel Podence. Both of them carried the Wolves attack in the absence of Raul Jimenez. The Portuguese star has scored 5 goals and has 5 assists in the Premier League this season. Many European clubs are after the Portuguese winger and may look to switch clubs next season.

#5 Marcus Rashford – Manchester United

Marcus Rashford is one of the favorites to win the PFA Young Player of the Year award this season. The Englishman has scored 9 times and assisted 7 times in the league this season. Rashford also has a hattrick in UEFA Champions League and scored 6 goals in the group stages. Rashford has been very crucial for Manchester United this season and has put up important performances this season along with Bruno Fernandes.
