Manchester City put out an announcement a few days ago stating that club legend Sergio Aguero will not be renewing his contract. Hence, the Argentine and the club will be parting ways after 10 massive years. Sergio is, arguably, the league’s greatest center forward of all time. With his goal ratio in a particular time period, he’s on another level. It’s truly disheartening for the City fans and to the Premier League fans that such a big legend will be departing.

The 32-year-old still has a good 2-3 years of top-level European football under his belt. Similarly, there are already so many clubs that are waiting for his signature as a free transfer.

Sergio Aguero and his options.

He’s been mostly linked to Barcelona so far. The player is best friends with Lionel Messi and there can be a certain pull that may work in this situation. There are also other clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea, Paris Saint Germain, and Inter Milan who are interested in landing the forward.

However, it is not likely that the player will stay in the Premier League. He is also not going to join City’s direct rivals such as Manchester United or Chelsea.

Barcelona would be the best option for the player as the club will finally have the replacement for Luis Suarez. Even Paris Saint Germain will be a fantastic option for the man as he may get to play with Angel Di Maria, his national teammate, and other stars such as Neymar Jr and Kylian Mbappe.

Whatever the destination is, the peak part of Sergio Aguero’s career is over. He gave his best years, ten solid years to Manchester City and it profited them both perfectly. What a revelation to the world, the Argentine has been. Sergio Aguero is a certified Premier League and a Manchester City legend.
