Chelsea suffered from their first loss under the new management of Thomas Tuchel in their last Premier League game against West Bromwich Albion. Things did not get any better for the Blues after the match and in fact, a training ground bust-up occurred among two of the teams’ main players, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Antonio Rudiger.  The players got into a heated argument and had to be separated by their teammates.

Things got rough in the training ground in a small field game when the big German made a late tackle on the Spanish goalkeeper. The center-back was unwilling to accept his fault and apparently ended up pushing Kepa. The teammates had to separate the two from getting into a fistfight and Thomas Tuchel dismissed Rudiger into the dressing rooms five minutes before the end of the training session.

Apparently, things got resolved at the end of the day when Rudiger apologized to Kepa for his actions. Tuchel was happy that the players could resolve it among themselves however, a lot is left to be desired after their bizarre 5-2 loss to West Brom. The manager was left speechless after the match and told reporters,

It is our first loss together. It is important to find a way to deal with it together, and that everyone knows what I feel as a part of it.

The team must now recollect themselves before they face Porto on Wednesday. This is the first time in seven years that the Blues have qualified in the round of 8 in the UEFA Champions League and they will be immensely disappointed if they are knocked out now. Apart from the Champions League, they also have the FA Cup to look up to where they face Manchester City in the Semi-Finals. They need to be in their best form and come together as a team if they want to win any silverware this season.
