Chelsea have been on thunderous form ever since former Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund coach, Thomas Tuchel took over the role of the manager. The German boss replaced club legend, Frank Lampard, and a lot of uproars were caused due to the sacking of the legend. However, Tuchel has shown the fans exactly why he was chosen to replace the English manager and the Blues may very well be on their way to their first trophy since the departure of Maurizio Sarri.
The 47-year-old manager was sacked from PSG for a less than satisfactory start but it was probably due to their failure to pick up the UEFA Champions League last season which caused the sacking. His start at Chelsea has been fantastic and his demanding nature has reflected on the team quite well. The London side has managed to get into the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time in seven years and they did that quite impressively as well.
Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea on the right path to end the season with silverware.
The Blues were pitted against the top team in Spain at the moment in the round of 16 and they defeated Atletico Madrid quite comfortably. Porto was not much of a challenge for the team either. Their latest challenge came in the FA Cup semi-finals against Manchester City and Tuchel’s men bossed the top side in England for the first half and managed to progress on to the finals with a 1-0 victory.
They face Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals and Leicester City in the FA Cup finals. It will be a tough task for them to get past Zinedine Zidane’s men but not impossible and pundits have favored Los Blancos by just a fraction. On the other hand, they have a great chance of getting the better off of Brendan Rogers’ men at the Wembley stadium. It seems like the Blues have one hand on the trophy already and they will be quite disappointed if they end up trophy-less for one more season.
